Our Film Projects

We’ve had a lot of fun making films at ETAT! Film has given us a new way to get creative, learn new skills and bring our stories, ideas and sense of humour to life.

Made with ETAT friends and people from our local community, each film has been a chance to try something different and create something together.

We’re very excited to share them with you. We hope you enjoy watching!

Operation Ophelia!

Operation Ophelia! Is a silent film comedy mystery - written, filmed and performed by ETAT friends.

When a famous painting disappears from a famous local gallery in Pimlico, a rather questionable detective duo are called in to solve the case. Filmed around Pimlico, including outside Tate Britain, St Barnabas Church and at the Thamesbank Centre, Operation Ophelia brings together local places, familiar faces and plenty of ETAT humour.

Created as part of our 2026 exhibition, There’s a Story in All of Us.

Our Pimlico

Our Pimlico is a heartwarming film about community spirit, resilience, and connection in the heart of Westminster.

This short film was created by Mafia Weekend CIC in collaboration with ETAT, residents of Pimlico and the Peabody Community Foundation over three days in the summer of 2024.

ETAT friends helped to create the story as well as helping to direct, film and star in it. The film explores themes of loneliness, togetherness, and the power of community. Featuring personal stories, interviews, and beautiful moments captured within the neighbourhood, the film showcases how local efforts have brought people together to create meaningful connections in an ever-changing world.
